General Description
The BOWERS & WILKINS ASW608 Black is the most compact subwoofer in the ASW series, designed to deliver fast, tight, and punchy bass in small spaces without taking up too much room. Its sealed cabinet offers controlled and precise performance, ideal for complementing stereo systems, home theater setups, and multimedia equipment installed in living rooms, bedrooms, apartments, studios, and listening areas where greater low-frequency impact is desired with a discreet matte black aesthetic.
The ASW608 integrates a 200 mm (8-inch) long-throw driver with a paper and aramid fiber cone, powered by a 200W ICEpower Class D amplifier. This combination is engineered to reproduce deep bass with speed and definition. Its specified frequency response is 32 Hz to 40/140 Hz within ±3 dB, with a bass extension selector to adapt the low-frequency response to the room, installation position, and desired listening level.
It offers stereo line-level inputs via RCA, speaker-level inputs via binding posts, and a 12V trigger. The fourth-order active low-pass filter incorporates a variable cutoff frequency and bypass for the line input, while level, phase, bass extension, roll-off equalization, and auto-power controls facilitate precise integration with satellite speakers, integrated amplifiers, and AV receivers. The ASW608 is a single active solution that allows for a substantial increase in the sonic scale of compact systems.

Ideal for
The BOWERS & WILKINS ASW608 Black is ideal for small to medium-sized rooms, bedrooms, apartments, offices, studios, and compact home theater systems looking for deeper bass without introducing a large subwoofer. It is suitable for complementing bookshelf speakers, satellite speakers, stereo systems, and AV receivers thanks to its RCA, speaker-level, and 12V trigger inputs. Its independent volume controls, variable low-pass filter, bypass, phase, and bass extension allow it to be precisely adjusted to the size of the room and the main speakers. It can also be used in pairs within a stereo or multichannel installation to smooth out room resonance effects and maintain channel separation at low frequencies.
