General Description
The MARANTZ STEREO 70s is a 2.2-channel slimline stereo AV receiver that packs the functions of a modern home theater and streaming system into an elegant, low-profile chassis. Its discrete Class A/B amplification delivers 75 W per channel at 8 Ω with both channels driven, powering high-fidelity stereo speakers with the signature Marantz musicality. It features four speaker terminals and a Speaker A/B function, allowing it to be used with a second pair of speakers, while its two subwoofer outputs allow for bolstering the bass of a 2.2 system.
Designed to be the center of an entertainment room, it incorporates six HDMI inputs and one HDMI output compatible with ARC/eARC. Three of its HDMI inputs support 8K signals, and the receiver integrates video features such as 1080p/4K to 8K upscaling, HDR, HLG, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Dynamic HDR, ALLM, VRR, and QFT. This allows it to unite a smart TV, console, media player, Blu-ray, and other sources without abandoning the stereo experience. The on-screen menu and setup assistant make installation easy via the television.
For music, the STEREO 70s includes the HEOS platform for streaming and multiroom audio, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, TuneIn Internet radio, USB playback, and access to network libraries. It plays high-resolution audio up to 192 kHz/24-bit and DSD 2.8/5.6 MHz. It also adds an MM phono input for a turntable, optical and coaxial digital inputs, three analog inputs, AM/FM radio, Pure Direct, custom HDAM modules, and M-DAX2. It is a complete solution for those looking for a premium, slim, connected stereo receiver for music, TV, and physical sources.
