The SoundTube XT850-SS is a professional landscape and outdoor speaker that integrates a two-way coaxial architecture into a semi-subterranean installation cabinet. It is designed to be partially buried, leaving the upper section visible, to provide wide-coverage distributed audio without interfering with the aesthetics of gardens, walkways, terraces, pool areas, hotels, or restaurants. The XT850-SS variant features a Sandstone finish, a sandy tone designed to blend in with stone, soil, light-colored walls, and natural environments.
Its acoustic system combines an 8-inch weather-resistant woofer with a polypropylene cone and butyl rubber surround, with a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. BroadBeam technology offers 360° horizontal and 40° vertical coverage to create uniform dispersion around every installation point. The sealed cabinet with ZeroReflection internal geometry contributes to a more defined bass response and consistent off-axis performance.
The XT850-SS supports direct 4-ohm use or integration into 25 V, 70.7 V, and 100 V distributed lines via a built-in 64 W transformer. The five-position waterproof rotary switch allows for selecting line power or engaging the transformer bypass. With IP55 protection, a stainless steel grille and hardware, waterproof strain relief, and theft-resistant brackets, this speaker is prepared for permanent outdoor installations that require durability, security, and broad coverage.
